  • The recital went GREAT!!!! I had great musicians, and also got a lot of supports from my friends!!
Though there were couple of mistakes during the performance, the energy was great, and the whole recital hall
was so packed so that many people had to stand outside..
I think I was blessed way more than I deserve. Of course you could say, I might have been working so hard,
and the musicians were killing, so you can't go wrong with these guys, but, hey,
it could haven't been possible without God's grace, and friends' love.
My parents have been praying for the show, and my brothers and sisters from Citylife showed me so much love.
Also my brothers Patriq (trumpet), and Hanwar (Tenor), they nailed the job again!!
I'm so happy that I have these guys. And Daniel (Alto) and Marcello(piano) were willing to work so hard with humbled heart. Moreover, I'm just flattered that I played with Jeff, an AMAZING drummer who was very open minded for whole time!
The experience of blessing was beyond the musicality.
And it was time that I got to learn more about frienship, leardership, trust, and love.

Thank you Jesus, and my friend!!

here are some photos from the show. (photos by Brian Lee)

  • The new semester started. It's already full-swing mode. haha
The whole school is so packed with non-stopping music all day long.
    I guess it's berklee.

The other night, I dropped a heavy object on my palm pilot, and the screen broke
this is the 2nd time putting my palm to death.. man.
( -> this is what I use. it does everything that I need, but phone.)

Probably, this would be a tragic event to those who use PDAs, or iPhone, and their lives are very plugged in to their handhelds.

Since I can't survive without a PDA, so I looked up for some repair services,
and found out it would cost more than a hundred dollars to replace the screen.
If I have to spend more than $100, I would buy a used one on Ebay, or look for totally something else.
Then my old Palm, the same model, just dead, but the rest of the parts are perfect, popped out in my mind,
and I was thinking I might be able to replace the screen by myself.
While I was disassemble the dead palm, I found out the main memory (4GB) is a CF card that I can format, and use for memory card. SWEEEEEEET!

the broken screen                               the CF memory.

Fortunately, replacing the screen wasn't that hard which encouraged me that my EE degree means something lol
After finishing re-assembling my palm, the screen back to the SERVICE beautifully.

anyway, It was a quite a night that made me happy for saving pretty good money,
also boosted my self-esteem(?) as well. hahaha

  • getting old..

I think when I was in early 20s, I was very passionate about trying 'things'.
I wanted to be a better child of God, a stronger soldier for His kingdom.
Also I valued my anxiety/desire to become a more holy and decent man.
My passion and compassion for people were stronger.

And I realized, sometimes, as I'm getting old, things around me are more familiar than before..
The reality looks so clearer to me ever than before which causes me to compromise or give up things.
And at some point, I found out I just stopped trying things for better.
Getting used to this pattern hinders me from being inspired from anything..

I'm becoming 28 tomorrow. yeah, I feel so OLD. haha. I don't even want to celebrate my birthday anymore lol.
I'm still going to a college(by the next year around this time, I'll have 3 bachelor's degrees.. oh man.)
, still single, not settled financially yet.
yeah, probably I'm such a looser in a way.
However, God is still telling me that He has hope in me, and wants to lift me up for His purpose
for this generation. He wants me to win all the battles that I stopped caring about since someday.

I guess this is the time to tune up myself to try things again, hopefully in a more mature way.

Happy birthday to myself, also all my beloved people who have the same birthday as mine. (my aunt, Joanna, Abbie, Esther, and KOBE BRYANT!! -plz don't leave Lakers..)

p.s. now I introduce my simponized Sam.
